Dorle’s origin goes back directly to the successful kennels “vom Fenriswolf" and "vom Bünner Wohld"; her grandparents come from kennels like "Arimalisa´s Reiteralm", "vom Alztal" and "vom Karlberg".
On May 15th, 1998, my daughter and I visited the breeder (Anetta Homan) to take Dorle home with us.
I had got to know Weimaraners (but only short-haired) before at dog training-courses and hunting and I really liked this breed.
Nevertheless we do prefer Longhair-Weimaraners. As we were very lucky we had the opportunity to buy a puppy at short notice and we did not hesitate to do that, though we knew how much work a young dog causes.
But it was great fun to make Dorle used to her “new life”. Living together and working with her are still a pleasure.
There have never been problems with our 14-years-old KlM female and Dorle, even not when she was adult. The two are good friends.
Most of all Dorle enjoys exploring the countryside and hunting with me. Her passion has steadily increased with her age.
At home Dorle is devoted and very vigilant.
Dorle died on July, 11th., 2010 very suddenly.
